We have all the communications tools we need... and then some. Desk phones, softphones, cell phones, chat clients, conference bridges and video collaboration are part of the tangled communications web that has been weaved for us.
At eZuce we’re working to simplify the communications fabric. In our latest beta clients we’ve introduced the ability to connect our Viewme and SRN (formerly SeeVogh) clients to SIP call control services (i.e., we added a softphone to it). This new SIP connectivity allows you to bring Calling, Instant Messaging and Collaboration into a single application. We’ve been testing this with our Uniteme communications platform (of course) as well as a Cisco Call Manager based system. Read the Voice Meets Video, It’s About Time blog for more on this.
The new functionality allows you to:
- Make and Take phone or video calls.
- Listen to a meeting after making or taking a phone or video call.
- Merge phone or video calls into a meeting.
We’re very excited to introduce this new functionality to you as it’s an important first step towards a more encompassing communications vision that we’ll be discussing in our future blog posts.
If you’d like to try the new beta client visit https://viewme.ezuce.com/download/ and look for the “Try Viewme BETA Client” near the bottom of the page. We’d like your feedback and ideas!
