Vibe New Features
Remote Control of a Shared Desktop
Vibe 4.02 brings an often requested feature, Remote Control. We of course put our own twist on this. Multiple desktop sharing sessions can be active at the same time, that is to say, user A can remote control user B and at the same time user C can remote control user D. Additionally, a user can offer remote control of their desktop to any other user.

Invite to a Meeting Room
We’re making it easier for users to invite others to the meeting room that they are in. Directly under the meeting room name in the left side menu, the first entry in the list of users is now ‘Invite to Meeting’ (see below).
Clicking on the ‘Invite to meeting’ entry will pop open the following window:
In this window, the user can choose to send an invite with their default mail client or Gmail. At the top of the window, the user has the opportunity to select other community members. At the bottom of the window, the user has the ability to just copy meeting links or the entire invitation to their clipboard.
Desktop Sharing improved performance
We’ve improved desktop sharing on Windows-based machines by decreasing the amount of information that needs to be managed and sent.
Continual ringing sound for Aparté
When a user requested an Aparté session in an earlier version a single sound was played. Now the notification sound will be played every 4 seconds or until a user accepts or rejects the Aparté request.
Guest users can change their name
Guest users sometimes get into a meeting and realize that they should have entered a different user name than they had entered before entering a meeting. Now the user can click on the name they selected in the left side menu and set a new display name.
Simplified branding for Managed Service Providers
We’ve greatly simplified the branding experience by reducing the number of required artifacts need to brand the Vibe client.
Additionally, branding of notification eMails has been enhanced to allow full control over emails being sent. A WYSIWYG editor is now available in the branding configuration to build the Booking and Registration emails.
