Garbled audio and poor video quality can literally ruin a team meeting. For Video communication to be effective it needs to be reliable and operate with high quality and deliver video with very low latency. eZuce’s Software Defined Real Time Communications (SD-RTC) platform accomplishes this by intelligently routing traffic where and when it’s needed across a collection of highly available servers. The SD-RTC is what underpins the eZuce Vibe Team Collaboration product. The SD-RTC has nodes known as Routing Nodes (RNodes) that span the globe operating on physical and cloud-based virtual servers. The SD-RTC routes traffic to the different RNodes based on endpoints or users that are connected to various meetings.
Monitoring these far-flung servers is the job of a product we call MonALISA. This monitoring provides eZuce with a visual representation of the SD-RTC as well as hard data about each user and the quality of their experience.
Depicted in the videos are ovals representing each RNode and the different colors in each oval represent which meetings are being routed to that RNode. The green lines change color if there are problems with any of the connections between RNodes. The different collections of RNodes represent different software defined topologies. The topologies represented in the videos are all fully meshed, however other connection hierarchies can be defined.
